BYZANTINE STORYWORLDS IN GREEK, ARABIC, GEORGIAN, AND OLD SLAVONIC (c. 950 – c. 1100)
Retracing Connections: Byzantine Storyworlds in Greek, Arabic, Georgian, and Old Slavonic (c. 950 – c. 1100) is a long-term international, interdisciplinary research programme funded by Riksbankens Jubileumsfond and administered by Uppsala University, in collaboration withthe University of Southern Denmark, the Swedish Research Institute in Istanbul, the Swedish Institute at Athens. Through the work on narrative materials in four medieval languages, the programme will produce new methodological and technical tools, as well as critical editions and databases to help scholars approach stories that traveled between premodern languages and cultures.
